FlexiTable™ acquires DGN data from one or more data sources. When searching a DGN model for objects, you can apply search criteria, such as a level filter.
By default, FlexiTable searches the active model for objects that match your search criteria. Optionally, it will search the following sources …
In the case of the latter two sources, FlexiTable is used as a batch processor to open each model in a DGN file, and to open each DGN file in a folder.
FlexiTable collects information by default about elements on all levels. Optionally, you can apply search criteria to modify its default behaviour. The types of search criteria depend on the element type of interest …
Usually, you can combine multiple filters to obtain a sub-set of DGN data. For example, if you place a fence, then acquire data from tagged elements, your result set comprises data only from those elements that satisfy the current fence criteria and that are tagged with your specified Tag Set.
FlexiTable collects information by default about all elements. Optionally, you can apply a fence filter by creating a MicroStation fence in the usual way. When a fence filter is active, FlexiTable collects only those elements that match the current fence criteria.
FlexiTable collects information by default about elements on all levels. Optionally, you can apply a level filter. When a level filter is active, FlexiTable collects only those elements on one of the specified levels.
First, you choose a Tag Set. Then, FlexiTable collects data from tags in the chosen Tag Set attached to a set of host elements. It reports each host element, and the value of the tags attached to it.
FlexiTable collects data from text elements. Optionally, it will examine text elements in text nodes, and text elements inside cells.
FlexiTable collects data from elements having a database linkage to the named database table. It reports each element and the value of the database links attached to it.
FlexiTable collects data from elements filtered by a named database query. It reports the value of the database tables linked to each element. The resulting worksheet combines the result of the database query and spatial filtering via a fence, if a fence is active.
